Food & drink strategy for weight loss and healthy living

Grant’s Diet Philosophy

With so much weight to lose, I plan to start with a combination of 3 techniques:

  1. Low calorie – burn more than eat

  2. Low carb – burn my stored fat for energy first

  3. Intermediate fasting – burn my reserves by delaying my meals.

 

Food:

  1. Eliminate sugar and carbs.

  2. Limit processed foods.

  3. Focus on lean protein and greens!

  4. Call it Paleo, Adkins, Mediterranean, or Neanderthal.  “A rose by any other name…”

Drink:

  1. Just Drink Water.

  2. No soda, no diet soda. Drink water.

  3. No alcohol. Empty calories, even those that aren’t, lead to lowered inhibitions = bad food choices.

  4. Some sparkling water… but mostly, just drink water.

*I am not a registered dietician (DUH) or nutritionist (obviously), but am meeting with my physician regularly to monitor my health and progress on my weight loss plan.  Be sure and discuss any diet with your primary care physician.*
